A Little Water, A Lot of Growth

The watering cans are getting a permanent workout. There were a few showers this week, so maybe they'll get a break soon. Some evenings, watering can feel like a chore, but most nights I'm thankful for the time outside while watching Tully play at sunset.
The flowers are starting to crowd the paths in the tunnel. It's a feeling of being surrounded by nature but not crowded — especially with the plastic off the tunnel for summer. This year it was due for new plastic, but we had a hard, yet funny, lesson the first time we installed it: March is not the time to install large sheets that double as sails. Time got away from us in the spring, so this year the tunnel will be open until fall.
Field flowers are thriving too. The new perennials are the strongest of everything planted this year.
Lastly, the weeds are thriving too. I think that's a problem most of us share.
