A Summer Update from the Farm

I’m always amazed by the flowers and shrubs that thrive in the heat. While I’m taking a break from the midday sun, they keep growing and blooming.

These Limelight hydrangeas are the newest blooms at the farm. We’re still about a month away from the colorful show the dahlias will bring, while the other late-summer and fall flowers continue to take their time. I haven’t resorted to measuring their height each day to make sure they’re growing—but I have given them plenty of encouraging words: grow, grow, grow!

This week also marked the first farm cart outing of the year. It's always exciting to see the flower season underway.
