Between Blooms and Plans

This week, my attention is split between the current blooms, planning for next year, and life being extra busy outside the farm.

The dahlias continue to open new blooms, with white making its debut this week. It’s quite a contrast to last week’s yellow and red.

New blooms are also appearing on the feather top grass and celosia. The zinnias continue to pop open every day, needing to be checked twice daily because they’re blooming so quickly. 

I’m enjoying watching the foliage fill out and seeing more varieties begin to come together for bouquets.

Sometimes the day-to-day pulls me in too many directions, and it’s easy to be hard on myself for not checking everything off the to-do list. If you find yourself in a similar season, this is a gentle nudge to give yourself grace. I have to remind myself of that sometimes, too.
