Lesson Learned and Planning Ahead

With the days getting shorter, I grabbed my headlamp because I thought I wouldn't finish harvesting before nightfall. That brought back the anticipation I'd feel during the early spring nights out in the tulips. That nostalgia faded fast. One thing summer has that early spring doesn't - bugs! Bugs that are drawn to a light, my face, and my hair. I survived, but lesson learned.

Even though the days are still hot, the early signs that fall is near renew my energy. Later season flowers, like mums that wait for fall, and cooler weather crops will come alive soon. It means we're closer to winter, when the beds will be resting, but it also brings a sense of newness as I start planning for next year.

Do you feel reinvigorated by the changing seasons?
